Program Overview:
Part A: Start your day by reading the financial newspapers, followed by live sessions with me and my team. Stay updated on financial markets, discuss current affairs, and analyze company- and stock-specific news to understand how it can impact financial statements, business performance, and investment decisions.

Part B: Understanding a Sector and Companies

1st Month: The entire focus will be on understanding the sector and the companies within it. For each industry, we will cover 4–8 leading companies/stocks to build a comprehensive understanding of how the industry works and how companies compete within it.

Part C: End-of-Month Presentation & Mock Interview

The month will culminate in a comprehensive company/sector presentation and mock interview. You will present your understanding of the entire sector and the companies covered, analyse the key investment drivers, and build and defend your investment thesis.

The objective is to develop the ability to think, analyse, and communicate like an equity research analyst—from understanding the business to presenting a clear, data-backed investment view.

Session Wise Break down
Session 1 & 2: Introduction session: How to identity companies to make reports and model.
An Introduction will about what it takes to be an analyst. It is not about financial modelling or writing reports. It is more about actual work under an analyst. 

Session 2 & 3: Foundation for financial ModellingSearching & Analysing all the information about the company from public sources.
We will gather each and every information available from all public sources not limited to annual reports & Presentation. An excel file will be created for all the companies as well as for industry data points. 

You would be taught how to gather information in a such a way, that even your junior or manager would be able to work on your file. Formatting as per industry standards. This data will be a foundation for Financial Modelling

Task for the coming week- Things that are taught in session 1 and 2, you need to implement and identity your own stock, gather number and start preparing the KPI of a sector and stock. Every morning in our morning call we will refine our research/ add more information from news paper

Session 3 & 4 :  Preparation of company profile report in word supported by excel
Preparing a company profile- The company profile should so much detailed that, you should be able to pitch that company as if its your company , and you want investor to invest in it.

You will be taught how to write a company profile, which are the important things necessary for investor to know, and how to format like an analyst. It should like a pitch deck and not any college project. It should look professional

Session 4 & 5: Report review and presentation:
In this week you will be required to present the report in front of others and be should be prepared to answer question asked from Rishabh sir or other participants-
This is an Industry practice- before you present to the client.

Newsletter Writing & Market Research
-Learn how to identify important financial news for future tracking of a sector or a stock { All news are not important}
-Structure newsletters for professional use so that can be posted on LinkedIn.

Advanced Excel Applications:

You’ll extract financial data from annual, quarterly, and monthly reports, industry databases, investor presentations, and earnings calls, and apply advanced Excel tools such as INDEX-MATCH, VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, pivot tables, scenario analysis, data tables, and more.. {No templates are used}

Financial Modeling from Scratch {From a blank excel}
 Using the curated data, we’ll develop detailed financial models for selected companies and sectors. These models will cover monthly, quarterly, and annual performance, include segment/product/industry breakdowns, and valuation techniques such as DCF, FCFF, WACC, P/E, EV/EBITDA, EV/Sales, P/Sales, P/BV, and SOTP.

2nd Month: Quarterly Result updates and Quarterly Report Writing

Earnings Call Analysis:
You’ll attend live earnings/conference calls, take notes, and summarize key insights on the result day

Quarterly Reports:
Post-call, you’ll draft analyst-style quarterly updates for your assigned companies

3rd Month: Writing Investment Thesis & Intitating Coverage Report

Industry Research Reports: We’ll assess sectors supported by macroeconomic trends and market momentum—ensuring our focus is data-driven rather than random. You’ll help prepare industry-level research based on daily discussions and updates.

Initiating Coverage Reports:
For selected companies, you’ll develop comprehensive reports that follow a top-down framework—sector and industry overview, competitive benchmarking, business model analysis, and detailed financials compared with peers.

End of Training (3 Months):
By the end of your training, you will have:
Built 12+ financial models
Written 25-30 Reports
Developed expertise in Excel and financial analysis
Gained experience similar to an Investment Banker

Placements process
Following the 3-month training, we’ll start forwarding your CV to recruiters. You will begin a virtual internship with RK Advisory, applying your learning in a more structured and professional setting—focused on accuracy, speed, and quality.

Internship is recommended for 3 months to show some kind of experience on your CV
Note: Many past students have been placed in less than 3 months.
